“Dear Pamela, we wanted to thank you for the lovely craft kits that are very popular with the patients in the hospital. We really appreciate all the organizing and work that goes into these kits. The patients are delighted when they receive a kit and even more excited when they see their finished crafts. These will provide hours of entertainment and distraction,” Suzanne Harms, HSC Winnipeg.
“We were delighted to receive the crafting kits and toys this year. It is certainly a welcome gift for patients and does bring joy to them when they are here,” Kirsten Wilson, Whitehorse General Hospital.
“Hi Pamela, you’ve done it again! Thank you on behalf of QGH and the pediatric team. We are sincerely grateful for your kind and generous donation of the lovely packaged Craft-kits. Your generosity has a positive impact on the kids during their appointment with the pediatricians. The children are very excited to come to their appointments because they know they can look forward to receiving a gift. Your donations bring joy and happiness to our children. Therefore, YES, we want more. Thank you so much again for touching the hearts of the children of Iqaluit and the entire community,” Pediatrics Department, Qikiqtani General Hospital.
“I wanted to thank you so much for the numerous incredible craft packages you've dropped off to our unit. We would be lost without them. A great deal of our population lives below the poverty line and we see hundreds daily so any help we can get is very much appreciated. When you can offer a child something so fun to work on during their long and often frightening wait, it makes all the difference in the world. These craft kits are a shining light in a stressful visit, and I think it helps the staff and parents just as much. Trying to keep a child still for sutures, blood tests or Xray/ultrasound is a real challenge. As soon as you promise a fun activity will follow, it changes the outcome. So, a very big thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our unit and so many others,” Tania, Scarborough Health Network.
